Hi,
I am a new user, but I have searched the forum on this and found nothing helpful so I am looking for a bit of advice please...

I have a 2000 A4 Avant estate, for about 6 months now. I noticed that the jet on my rear washwipe was a bit wimpy and I tried unblocking it with a pin. there was no blockage and then I noticed that there was a lot of screenwash inside the bottom of the boot seal when I opened it and the trim was soaking.

I have managed to get the trim off without breaking too many of the clips and I have found that the water is actually coming back out of the fitting on the wiper motor. it's not leaking from where the pipe attaches to the fitting, it's actually coming back out underneath. it looks a bit like it could be a pressure relief incase of a blocked jet.

I removed the wiper and prised the jet out to check for blockages... The previous owner did not believe in putting concentrate in and the washer bottle was full of foul smelling stagnant water and slimy crud when I bought it. I found no blockages and the water still pi**es out into the boot, even with the jet removed.

Is there a simple cure to this? I have run out of ideas apart from getting a replacement washwipe from a breakers and keeping my fingers crossed...

I'm driving to the Alps this weekend and I would like to be able to see out of the back for the 1400 mile round trip!

Thanks for any advice!
