Musings of a A6 1.8T owner

Hi everyone
Anyone know how to replace the main beam indicator bulb in the dash of a 2000 1.8T A6 SE avant auto?. Also what sort of MPG approx. A recent 300 mile trip in lightish traffic yeilded 31mpg on A roads not exceeding 65mph.Oil/air filters and plugs were changed recently and the car is running fine, I just thought mid 30s would be possible, mind you the car has covered 120K although it is not using oil and is otherwise like new.

If you want to get to the bulb in the dash ,its alot of work and if you have not done one before ------don"t ! Get someone that has ! On mpg -----its how you drive the car and traffic !

Aye, also bear in mind it's winter so the car will be running richer due to the cold. In summer you'll get a little more.

OK guys thanks for the input, I just thought it was a little on the low side for a long light footed run, anyhow I still love driving it.
