Golf MK5 1.9TDI Wing mirror problem

Hello

Can anyone tell me how (and if it is easy) to take off the clear plastic bit off of a Mk5 Golf wing mirror??

Im not sure how, but water has got stuck inside and the water has started to go green .. it looks awful

im not sure if it pops off, or if i have to take the whole wing mirror off to get the water out..

hi there,
unfortunatly i had my clear bit broken and i had to remove the glass then the whole outercasing whilst disconnecting 2 wires for the indicator which revealed 2 screws which are fiddly to get at, undo them, then that clear bit pops out! finally
basically you have to strip the wing mirror to basic to get it out
its a fiddley job

My clear bit on the wing mirror needs replacing...do you know if I can order a new clear bit from the net?

Any advise on stripping the mirror down to replace?
