Hi,

I am jsut having my engine replaced on my Audi A4 1.8T.

I have 2 questions:

My car has Quattro badges on it but an RAC inspector told me that Quattro cars are 4WD...he said mine was not...

Does anyone know what the top end speed/BHP are for my engine...?

Thanks

i'd trust the RAC guy, i'd say ts far more likely that someone has played a cheap trick, bought some quattro badges off fleabay and stuck them on a 2wd car knowing genuine quattro would add substantially to the value.

to check yourself just look under the rear of the car, if there is no obvious rear differential and driveshafts to the rear wheels you've been had....

if you know nothing about cars, then give audi a ring with your chassis number and they'll tell you straight.

think BHP is 150 standard and top speed somewhere 140-150 ish.
sure someone will be along with exact figures soon.

hi
150 bhp standard but in reality the top end uptp 135 ish, does your car spin at junctions in the rain if driven off hard 2wd if not 4wd put like said look underneath at the rear drivetrain if its there or not ,did you buy it as a quattro ? it also says quattro on the log book if it is
