:beerchug:, Happy New Year to everybody. Short intro, Just week ago I moved from Canada to Costa Rica with my old buddy Golf 93 1.9 diesel.
Basically he is almost old like me but so far we did pretty good. Right now I have small problem with my horn. Looks like every time I make a turn, signal starts and all eyes on me.I wonder if could be some wire in a steering wheel column causing this.

Welcome Stan, did you drive the car from Canada to Costa Rica?

You might be best posting this in the Golf or general car threads, you're more likely to get a response there.

Hi,
Thanks for response. I drove from Canada to Miami, FL and shipped car by ocean. I wont to register this car in C.R. but first I have to pass safety check.

Hi,
I did the same, but I have to inspect this car for safety. Horn is needed.

It must definitely a bad earth, find the grounding spots on the loom and clean. around the indicators there is and earth i think, The principle of electricity is it always takes the easiest way to ground. Which is in your case though the horn!! as the earth connection has corroded....get the sand paper out and clean.
