Wife needs a Beetle! when is cam belt change?

Hi, I'm Derek, I'm new to this site. My wife desparately wants a 'new' Beetle NOW, today, can't wait! It must be green or yellow with low mileage. We've seen a V reg at £4700 35k. Also a 51 at £4500 54k. Also a W at £3750 68k. I'm a bit worried at 68k regarding expensive jobs, like cam belt, clutch etc. Can anyone tell me the recommended change time for cam belt (miles/ years?).

Any idea what engine you're looking at.

Don't know a lot about what engines are available for what year in Beetles but Autodata list some replacement intervals. (Not 1.6 though for some reason)

If you can be more specific I'll have a look for you.
