Hi,

Holts make a tube of stuff called Piston Seal. This is designed to stop your car burning oil if the piston oil seal rings are worn. You put it directly into your cylinders by removing the spark plug and injecting the mixture. I used this before on an old Ford I had and although it didn't cure the problem, it certainly cut down on the amount of oil consumed. It states on the packaging that it is only a temporary solution, but I used it well for over two years. I also bought thicker oil 20W-40, which was cheaper (£8 for 5l) and put that in the engine.

Think the piston seal stuff is about a tenner!!

Worth a try
