2001 TDI 130 1.9 £50 of dielsel 360 miles?

What does your 1.9tdi get MPG ? I drive an average of 20 miles a day, have owned the car 3 weeks, So far I have spent £50 on fuel ? Is this good or bad ?

Assuming £50 of diesel buys 50 litres = 11 gals, then your mpg = 33. This doesn't look too good. You don't say what kind of miles you are driving: town/country/motorway? My 97MY 1.9 TDI (110) returns about 39 mpg town driving and that's with an auto box. Motorway takes this up to 50 mpg. Of course, driving style will also make a difference.

I usually get more than that, but mine is the 1.9 TDi 100. What sort of milage are you doing - motorway / mixed / city?

Hi guys, Sorry I didnt mention what type of miles, Mostly city driving , no motorway miles at the moment. I do have the occasional blast on to the local bypass for fun.

Mine does about 45mpg which is mainly longish A-road driving with a bit of stop-start stuff.
