chipping

I have just recently took my to a tuning garage and the guy their said its not possible to chip my car ( Audi A4 Avant 2.5 tdi v6 2002 multitronic) as the box has a torque limiter in it, and it will cause massive problems.... so what im asking has anybody else done this,and if so have they encountered any gearbox problems?:1zhelp:

It is possible to tune the 2.5 engines, but be slightly careful about it.

Myself and one of the other guys on the site recently had work done on 2.5 Diesels through the site and the results were less than successful with no resolution on the outstanding issues.

If memory serves me the tiptronic receives a milder state of tune, so as not to over stress the gearbox.

It all depends what you want from the engine. With me it was a bit more low end torque. Do you have any problems with the cars performance or is it just for a bit more poke.
