Hi guys, I have purchased a connects 2 Ipod adapter box that will need attached to the back of my concert CD head unit. How do I go about doing this? Do I need to remove the head unit & if so, how do I do this?

you can get a tool to remove the head unit... bay is the cheapest option.. or any audio will sell it at a cost..

the ipod lead with then just fit into the auto changer plug.

Below is a photo of the back or the Chorus head unit.

I have also installed an iPod cradle and you do need to remove the head unit. There are two slots on either side of the face of the head unit which give you access to the spring loaded clips holding the unit into the dash.

I used the pointy ends of a couple of steak knives to good effect and without doing any damage. :D As soon as you disengage the clips the unit should pop out by itself.

I need to get a sony headunit out as the previous owner wally that put it in has wired it so the rear speakers don't work.

Thanks for all your advice.

I have bought a connects2 box & removal pins from ebay. I'm going to put the trust into a friend to connect it all up.

Connects2 box P/n: CTAADIPOD003 @£73.90 inc
Audi/Seat/VW headunit removal pins @£4.75 (pins@£4.75) inc
Ipod 80gb @£150

I hope it will be music bliss & the end to burning CD's for the car.
