Can anyone reccomend a bracket that I can mount in the car for my iPod at all?
I'm not wanting one of those vent mounted types, but something a little more "permanent"...
Brodit make a nice range of mounts as do ProClip

I didn't TBH as it was about £15 for the bracket and £15 more for the actual ipod holster.....
I'll probably look into it again next month.

No, I didn't - I had a bunch of ipod problems, I found that I could just leave it in the cupholder section and that was good enough for me.
Unfortunately, the iPod link has now stopped working...

Hi,
I'm not having my Nokia Pop Port kit installed into the Highline, because of the above.
Likely to go for a Parrot, or a Bluetooth enabled satnav.
There doesn't appear to be many 'safe'/'user friendly' places to site a kit in the VW.
You might ask "What's wrong with the above installation?"....
Well, ask youself "In the event of a front/LHS impact..where would the front seat passenger's right knee/leg end up?"
Doesn't bear thinking about does it???
Hence the reason why Saab have had the ignition key sited away from the steering collumn for as long as I can remember!

Hmm, good point. I wonder if the makers considered that?

Nope...as it's the car user who would (generally) decide the actual siting of the kit.
I much prefer the Brodit/Proclip mounts...not cheap!!!
My own sat nav mounting bracket is cabled tied to one of the vents...a bit rough BUT still brilliantly cheap & effective!
I'm sure that the same can be done with Ipod (& such) mounting brackets.

Now that I like! I would like to see something that covers the two unused switches (to the left of the hazard lights button).
