98 Ibiza 1.9 Diesel

Hi,

This may sound like a stupid question but I've just got myself a 98 1.9 diesel Ibiza (not turbo diesel). Its done 80k miles. I want to give it a quick service by changing the oil, oil filter, air filter etc. Anyway, cut a long story short, went to Halfords, looked up in their book, it said I needed 0w-30 so I bought some. I got home, checked my Haynes manual and that says I need, for a diesel, 5w-40 tp 20W-50?

I've serviced cars before but this time i'm confused with which oil I need. Could anybody help?

I would go for a 10w-40 synthetic, 0w-30 doesn't sound right at all.

dosent matter wat oil you use really buddy a use 10w 40w just means the oil wont work until the car engine iss 10 degrees and wen reaches 40 its working fully
