I'm new to this forum, so Hi all!

Just purchased a 99 A4 last Saturday. It's very modern when compare to my last car (Rover 416).

But tonight when the weather turns foggy and slightly cold, mist were build up on the mirrors. I started the car, the left mirror did heat up (checked by my hand), but the right one is not. So it is probably not the problem of the fuse I suppose.

Not yet get myself the Haynes manual, therefore I just wonder if this is a easy fix? And what's the procedure to do so?

It's 99% likely to be the glass that has a faulty heater. Go and buy a new checking that it's tinted or not, and the old one is held in by 4 small retainer tabs on the back. Tilt it in or out to access, or sometimes they will just come off if you pry gently and work it alittle. Changeover the 2 wires connectors and reclip in place.
