Hi to all:D
i have a 1999 A4 1.8se... i have a pioneer DEH P90DAB radio fitted,,
it came with a spanking new pioneer EXTERNAL dab aerial
really not keen on putting it on, and looking at as many A4s as i have cant see any that have a roof earial fitted,,,
so my question is has anyone had any success fitting an internal dab aerial (id so what model and where it was fitted,)
and/or is it sacriledge!! to fit an external aerial or should i do the deed:approve:

It will work best with the external aerial, however that means drilling a hole, which instantly invalidates the Audi paint/corrosion warranty.
We used to recommend a glass fix antenna from Panorama Antennas in the past. It gives pretty good results without needing holes.. http://www.panorama-antennas.com/pa/gb/sc/catalogue/DAB.htm

The actual through-glass element is pretty small - so careful positioning to avoid the heated rear window elelements should avoid that problem.

hi thanks for all your help...i did email panorama and they came back with a quote of about £ 54 inc del
however i did some digging around and unbelievabley i found the whole kit inc 5m coax and adapter cable for £43 inc del,, from a company called blue spot who are supplied the same antenna from panorama antennas,,, if you enlarge the photo you can see thier name on the cable
http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/dab_glass.asp
you can get cheaper dab antennas, but alot of companys seem to use panorama so wanted to stick with your initail recommendation,,, :biglaugh:

In fairness Bluespot are a specialist internet distributor, Panorama aren't really geared up for individual orders. But yes it is probably the most widely used on glass antenna, because it works.
