Hi all i have recently purchased a 2017 a6 avant 2.0tdi ultra . I intend to replace the rear shocks but when i am looking for shocks on ebay and the like i am seeing some with electrical wires coming out the top . Are these for the air suspension only or is the wiring got something to do with the drive select system these cars have . I am a wee bit confused at the moment so any advice would be appreciated

What is the VIN? There are sources other than fleaBay.

It will have either Monroe 4G9 513 035 or BWI (https://www.automotive-technology.com/products/bwi-group/passive-shock-absorbers-and-struts) 4G9 513 035 F and these are £158.40 retail inc. genuine Audi. I would offer a customer the choice of genuine or the Monroe 376213SP if I had two weeks lead time to get them in. ECP stock the Sachs 315 090 but their pricing is doesn’t make sense at £91.70 trade and £79.19 retail, that has to be an error.
