Both front wings on our b6 Avant are rusting badly and in need of replacing. Given any second hand ones will be similar age and suffering too I looked at new options. I'm not fussed about perfect paint match - main thing is something I can replace myself without needing taking to paint shop.

These seemed worth a go:

Does anyone have any experience of painted car panels in South Shields?

Any advice or recommendations would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Ian

PS tried searching on here for wings and panels and couldn't see any past threads that covered this.

Genuine wings are obsolete. We fitted an aftermarket part to a 2001 saloon a year or so ago, it came from ECP and it needed a lot of tweaking to make it fit well and that would be disastrous with a painted part. They are available from Klokkerholme and their panel fit very well but there is no way my body guy would paint then fit. He would test fit and tweak, paint the inside and door shut and then fit and paint the outside.
