Hi guys, New to this forum so apologies if I'm using it wrong.
Has anyone here had a mechatronic issue on a hybrid ? 2015 A3 E-tron. I had an error code saying gearbox issue and upon diagnosis, it shows as the above ^ engine disconnect clutch (essentially when my cars combustion engine kicks in, it loses power and gives away - cant continue driving - this started as an intermittent issue, and then kept on appearing/ish - the car works fine on electric only)
I saw this video highlighting the same error code, and was convinced this was the issue: - YouTube (https://youtu.be/QzpyqcPqlsY?si=J4pkeL0iOOE4amCt)
The mechanic however after taking the mechatronic unit apart, has found no issue with the gasket/solenoid but is suggesting to do an overhaul of the unit/new gearbox oil/filter etc - as they think the debris of oil has gone into the valve body of the mechatronic as it had oil grease on it - which may be causing the issue. The charge of this is too much to pay. = 2.5k!
What I want to know is - would a gearbox oil service be sufficient if they think the dirty oil is at fault here ?
Any help or advice/opinions I'm here for. Thanks in advance! Very stressed out here!
