Good day all

seems my car at 108k has got to the “needs a few little things doing stage” of its life.

Now it’s the alternator overrun pulley that’s chirruping from time to time, is this a fairly straightforward diy job or does it involve stripping much of the car down to do it? Looking at it my first impression is its fairly straight forward, but don’t want to make things worse.
It’s the 2.0 tdi ultra
thanks in advance

It can be evil to do them on the car even with the special tool set.

Thanks for that, in which case i’ll keep an ear/eye on it and fingers crossed it can wait till the next cambelt/waterpump service, (though that is a good way off ) if need be i can pull that forward.

Well it could bring the cam belt (and engine rebuild) closer as the pulley being jammed causes the belt to disintegrate and can get drawn into the cam belt area through the small gap behind the crank sprocket and…:aargh4:
