So the other day I noticed that from the get go the car was performing the best it has ever! It was super responsive with the slightest blip off the throttle the turbo was spooling( very audible)(dpf delete) and pulled HARD through all gears! It made it feel like the car was light and nimble! Needless to say I was loving it.
The thing is This has only happened a handful of times in the 10yrs of ownership.
It's had me thinking, Have I been driving the car under performing all these years?
The majority of the time its always felt slightly delayed so to speak, not instantly responsive. Like I'm dragging weight Until the turbo gets spooling. The spool up is not as instant, like a 3sec delay from when applying throttle. I took this as the norm, but from the days when it's been super responsive has got me thinking 🤔
Could this be the Turbo and or Actuator? Or something else the dictates the Turbo pressure/Spool up?
I've had no signs of turbo wear etc.
