What oil to use

I have a 2007 Passat 1.9 TDI BXE which I bought a few months ago. The car has only had LongLife service done. It has only been used for short runs, just passed 130 000 km. My daily driving is also for the most part just short runs, but longer trips in the summer time. The winter is cold. I'm planning to re-program it to fixed service intervals. Should I use Castrol Edge 5W30 C3 / 505.01 OR Castrol Edge 5W40 Turbo Diesel / 505.01? What oil suits the PD engine best considering my driving pattern?

5w/30 to VAG spec VW507.00. At 130k on LongLife I strongly recommend replacing the conrod bearings.
