Hi everyone, this is my first post.
I have a 2009 2.0td estate CBAB engine.
please can anyone give me advise on an issue I have.
When I got the car the eml light was on. I got it read and it said swirl flaps but didn’t affect the running of the car. November last year it did the odd jerk but ran ok.. last week it jerked twice in two miles then was ok.. then it got worse and jerked for 300yrs and then ran ok.. I had it read again and these were the codes..
08213 intake manifold flaps
01651 cyl 3 glow plug
50199 brake control
08200 intake manifold flap bank one
I ordered a pattern intake manifold and it came with an actuator. My original manifold is alloy and the supplied one is plastic but looks very similar.
Has anyone had this issue and replaced an alloy intake manifold with a plastic one ?
Do my symptoms sound like it’s the swirl flaps ?
im not to sure what the swirl flaps actually do..
any help is much appreciated
