Hi everyone.
I have a 2007 B6 Passat 2.0 Tdi with climate control, and on the whole its been a really reliable car.
Monday morning, just as the first frost of the year hit, I got in the car and put the heater on to clear the windscreen and i got nothing!
All the lights came on to show the fan setting but the fan is not going at all!
I have checked the fuses in all 4 fuse boxes and all seem to be fine, so this afternoon I managed to get the glovebox out to try and get at the blower motor to test it (admittedly not knowing how what i was doing)
There are two plugs going into the fan motor assembly, a brown 6 pin plug which has 4 wires going into it, i have put a multi meter on this plug and tested the voltage on the brown and red/white wire, and it has 12 volts whether the ignition is on or off, the other two wires in this plug are a black/white and a blue/white.
The other plug seems to come from one part of the assembley and plug into a different part, it has just two wires, a black and a red one, which dont have any voltage in them.
Also, this is probably very relevant, the recirculation button stopped working at the same time as the blower, the button doesnt light up at all.
If anyone can help me or shed any light on this, i will be eternally grateful!:1zhelp:
Thanks in advance.
