2011 VW Tiguan engine code CFFB

Hi
Can anyone tell me what engine oil I should use for 2011 Tiguan, too many conflicting choices, I was going to purchase some Quantum Longlife 3 . 5w-30 fully synthetic , but people are saying get 5w-40 and some say 0w-30 !!.
ps: have used Quantum for my Golfs I have had for quite a few years 1.

Quantum LL3 is perfect, we buy it is 205 litre barrels and use it is just about everything, even old Golf 2's with LL4 0w-20 just starting to creep in now.

It depends how cold is where you live. If you live in country with moderate continental climate with warm summer and moderate winters you should use 5W30 Long Life (LL3) oil. Otherwise if you live in country with cold climate you should use 0W30 LL3 oil. In one word you must use oil with VW 504 00 / 507 00 specification and depending of climate you could use 0w30 LL3 or 5w30 LL3 oil!

Skelton doesn’t tend to suffer extremes of temperature, the UK’s climate is quite benign.
