Hi all, apologies if this has been covered already. 2008 V6 tdi
I had a couple injector seals gone and venting through the releif ports.
Bought the genuine copper washers and o rings and replaced it all this weekend. It was a lovely straight forward job. It turns out cyl 1 & 6 were pretty much non existant where all the others were like new.
Upon finishing the job, I cranked it over until it came to life. I did not follow any bleeding procedure.
Once running (30-40 seconds of cranking) it fired up and sounded perfect.
Unfortunately now for some reason it cranks over for much longer than ever before before firing up, probably 5-8 seconds. I was convinced it was air in the system but after a long drive today she's still doing it.
I did a quick scan with VCDS and got:
Address 01: Engine
005699 - Please check DTC Memory of Electric Load Controller
P1643 - 000 - - Intermittent
Address 09: Cent. Elect.
02254 - Interface to Generator
004 - No Signal/Communication - Intermittent
As i type this i'm thinking I should go and monitor rail pressure.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you
