About to acquire used A3 E-tron

I've never been the first poster in any forum before now, but here goes:

I have the opportunity to buy a used A3 E-tron from a family member who's just upgraded to a Q4 and was hoping to find some advice on insurance and maintenance issues. It appears, however, that I'm likely to be the guinea pig.
