Hi All,
New here so please bear with me. I've recently bought a second hand Audi A3. KU09OKT is the reg. According to the service manual the toothed belt was replaced in 2016 when it had around 75,000 miles on the clock. It's now 2023 and the mileage is 115,800!. Does anyone know what website or company supplies good quality parts in the UK for Audi A3's such as mine? I'm based in Ashford, Middlesex. TW15 postcode. Any advice would be great. I've just got a new key fob as the buttons were really faded (got from eBay) and I've also purchased some vinyl wrap for the 'B' pillars which I'm looking forward to improving the look of my car.
My previous car's timing belt snapped so I'm eager to replace the one on this for peace of mind. I've heard that on a Audi A3 that it's a chain not a rubber belt, correct? Any ideas how much is acceptable for a garage to replace the chain (doing the labour only) if I actually buy the chain for it?
Thanks
Danny.
