'' wire connect from controler (pin5) to ECU pin 64 '' is what i need to do, but i am a total noob and cant seem to find help on google.
I already fitted it, programmed it with vcds but i get err on display when trying to use it, i think i am missing that wire connection to the ecu :/
Its VW Passat 2010 2.0 tdi dsg (late 2009 - 2010 have newer electronic like in b7, that's the stalk that fitted mine and i have all-in-one steering wheel control module so bunch of stuff about retrofitting older b6's doesn't apply on me.

I tested buttons in vcds, they are being registered as pressed when i used them, so its working, im pretty sure im missing just that wire connection from ''control module'' to ''ecu'', right?

Can someone explain to me, like i am a child, what / where / how to connect that wire?

Doing this in my B6 at the moment. I’ve the older model with the different column and that. Mine is physically missing a wire on the plug that goes into the module. (for you it’s integrated into the clock spring i think). It’s relatively easy to spot on my model.

You on the other hand, you’re getting a Cruise Control error inside the engine module. To me anyways, that means you have the wire. That wire is for telling the engine module what to cruise at, without it the module has no idea the cruise is installed.

Check the codes and measuring values in the Steering Column module. Check the binary value for the cruise stalk changes for every direction it moves. The stalks are known to fail (the one i got from the wreckers is broken for speed up and down. Throws two codes in the column module)

EDIT: Just saw you have checked measuring values, make sure every possible movement of the stalk changes the measuring value. One broken link will kill it i think. I’m not sure otherwise.

Did you have any luck with this? I just did the swap myself on my older-model B6 so I might be able to help
