Golf Mk 6 2012 Indicators Stopped working

Hi, Took my golf for its mot today and it failed because the indicators are not working. The hazards work so the bulbs are ok. Any ideas?

The car has only done 4000 miles, so I was thinking the stalk might have got a dry joint or something?
