Hello, I have to change the high level brake light in my wife's A4 cab, 2006.
How do I remove the liner from the boot lid.
The only obvious fixings are the two nuts which retain the warning triangle bracket.
I don't want to wreck it by prising in the wrong places.
Thanks,
Michael

It is held on with twelve evil push clips that go through the sheet metal, you are supposed to compress them with a forked trim removal tool and then pull with all you have. They are almost the same as there but slightly longer and part number 3D0 867 276

I have seen this diagram but do not know the location of the clips

Yeah those clips can be insanely hard to remove. I stripped the headlining and all the pillars out of my car to retrim it. Don't mind if I never see one of those clips again!
This is my go to place for really neat how to stuff:

Thank you for the video, in the end, despite the video being for the saloon version all went well, however when the new light was installed it would not work, but surprisingly the old one did, but the sealant on the old translucent red cover was well past it. In the end I put the new reflective red clear cover on the old lamp unit, cleaned away all of the old sealant around the hole in the boot lid where the lamp fits and put the lamp in place, and so far, cross fingers, all is still working well.
Thank you vwaudi team, Happy Christmas to all.................
