Hey all i am a bit of a newbie when it comes to DIY but after seeing the state of my EGR (and cleaning it) i decided to remove my intake manifold for cleaning, i have put everything back to gether and the car starts straight away however there is absolutely 0 power from idle to around 1800ish RPM. It's really hard to get the car moving you need alot of revs and the boost isnt as strong once the car is moving. Looks like there is a vacuum leak somewhere (ran diagnostics but nothing came up)

Can anyone suggest where to start looking? I have put everything back the exact same way it came off to the best of my knowledge

TDI 170

Cheers!

Could be a vacuum leak or misconnection in the turbo control system, what is the cars VIN? A code read should help, what are you using?

Hi there! I didnt touch anything near the turbo, i only took the egr and inlet manifold off and put it back together, could it be the gasket? some people have said to change it, others have said you can use the original one. But its metal so im not sure.

The turbo spools you can hear it

Hi pal i have one ordered for the intake manifold and the egr. I just reused the same ones as they looked to be in okay shape. Do you think that's definitely what's causing my issue?

I would be very surprised if it made a difference but you are supposed to replace them. What is the VIN or the year and engine type code?

To put into context of the issue, the car around 3 weeks ago went into limp mode and a p0546 EGT sensor fault, i've since had the DPF, EGR deleted and a remap, so no more fault codes. Between that time the only thing i have touched was cleaning the EGR and inlet manifold to see if that made any difference but with it being in limp mode at the time i probably wouldn't have been aware of any vacuum leak.

Sorry, thats me out... I strongly disagree with removing emissions equipment, we turn cars away that have been tampered with.
