Wireless Key Problems

I seem to be experiencing problems with my December 2019 Passat car key. A couple of times the button to open the car seems to have failed but it has eventually worked. The boot and lock buttons seem to be OK. Anyone had similar problems and if so what is the cure?

I assume you have already changed the key battery? Do you have a second key and does this exhibit the same problems or not?
