I have just acquired a 2015 A6 3l Tdi Quattro, S Line. Very likeable car with a slick S Tronic box. I've been driving an A4 3l Allroad for the past few years. A bit bumpy, but an impressive car nonetheless. My last A6 was a 2005 Allroad which gave no end of trouble in my 8 years of heartbreaking ownership, but was still the most comfortable car I have ever owned.
The new car has a problem with the satnav system. On occasion, it seems to know where it is and indicates it is linked to 7 or 8 satellites. More often than not, however, it thinks I'm miles away from my true location and is not receiving any satellite input. Wifi doesn't work and DAB is more often unavailable than not. Antenna problem, I thought, but coming home from work this evening, the satnav was behaving impeccably, as was DAB, but the system was still indicating that it was not receiving information from any satellites.
The dealer has offered to replace the antenna, but I'm concerned that there might be other issues, perhaps with the MMI. I don't know if the Wifi and DAB are dependent on the antenna, or if this is a different issue.
Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
Apologies if this is a topic that has been flogged to death, but I haven't been on this forum since the demise of my first Allroad. The dealer has said he will scan the car, but forewarned is forearmed.
Any advice would be appreciated

Sat Nov problems like yours have usually been found to be caused by water ingress to the sharkfin causing corrosion, it's not a massive job, so there's that. On the DAB front, have you got anything plugged into any of the charging sockets? Granny / eggs, eggs / granny. If you have that's probably the cause of the issue. So there's that as well.

Thanks for that. Nothing plugged in to the sockets. Phone paired easily enough and seems to work fine on handsfree, but not plugged in for charging.
