I found this in my 2.0 TSI engine, in cylinder 4, does anyone know what it is?

I think that is the side piece of a port divider 06F 103 411 A but of the earlier design

It's the same shape as those edge bits on the divider but its metal and is a plastic rod in the middle.
the car had a new inlet manifold, but that was two years ago.
and a new timing chain fitted in November.
it doesn't seem to have come from anywhere.
