Anyone had this problem with map updates.

Hi all. I purchased the latest map and firmware updates for my 2009 A6. The firmware updated successfully to K0260 and the maps to 4G0060884AJ. These updates now show in the version information display but of course the Navigation is blocked after a few minutes because the maps have not been activated. I tried the activator both through the engineering menu where I get the message "release info cannot be read" followed by a prompt to abort and also by letting the Navigation Data Blocked message appear then inserting the activator but nothing happens at all this way. I have tried both methods with ignition on (key in) engine actually running and key out MMI on but even with a replacement activation SD card from the supplier the maps will not activate. Anyone have any ideas or know I am doing something wrong?

Yeah i had this as mine had previously been updated, there are a few activators, you would need to try them all.

Before the update it was on BNav P0022 with 4G0060884AB EUW 5.25.2 (2017-2018) maps done by Audi from 2012 maps without a firmware update. Cost around £250 so a pants down job. I though updating the firmware and maps together should allow the activator supplied with the other SD's to work. There is a VW Audi specialist on Fleabay that does an update pack with Email and phone support so I may go down that route. I saw on the A50C forum that a chap had the same problem. He emptied his 6 CD changer and said the activator then worked. Weird but I guess it is worth a try. Sadly my PC and Laptop do not have SD card slots so I cannot create the SD updates myself.

Yeah i used a5OC, try looking at the year older updates, i did try a few and it eventually got a working one.
