Can I purchase headlight components? Bulb (DRL) holder has melted, so I need to replace the rear/lower near side (UK) shell, everything else is ok. If available where can I find a part number so I can go on Part Finder or anyone know it?

Private message me the REG so I can see which headlights you have but if it is the part I think on the parts diagram, item 11, it specifically states “bulb holder, no replacement part”

It is available on your type of headlight, part number 8E0 941 669 and £8.22 inc VAT from an Audi dealer or you can pay £21 on eBay…

Thanks, I’ll pass this on to my local garage and see if they can get hold of one.

A bit of a delay, but I passed on the part number you gave for the bulb holder (which is what I asked for) but the garage have said although that is the bulb holder, the part I need is what the bulb holder slides into, can you assist any further?

Thanks for that, I wasn’t aware they were directional (it’s the wife’s car, I generally get to wash it.
I’ve taken part number to the garage to see if this is the part they’re on about, if it is I can’t see me getting a new one or the wife asking for one for Christmas.

Correct part number, unfortunately £££!, also getting quotes of around £600 for 10+ year old ones from breakers! So. Will keep an eye on eBay.
Next question same subject: Can the DRL’s be coded out using VAGcom to enable an MoT pass?
