Can someone please help me with a fuse ideal to connect the dash cam to? Preferably on the passenger side. I am looking for something which is off when the ignition if turned off.

I have taken couple of photos of the fuses and the fuse diagram on my passenger side. Can you please help me locate a fuse I can tap?
I checked with a multi meter and the Fuse number 10 in the black fuses seems to turn on/off with ignition. It is marked as communication in the fuse diagram. Can I use this for the dashcam?

Having ignition off provides no footage in the highest risk area..

Having ignition off provides no footage in the highest risk area..True, but don't want to risk battery going too low. I bought a nextbase hard wire kit which covers with some sort of battery protection, but I am not sure how good that is.

Normally rubbish with a too low 11.6V cut off .
Basically you chose the wrong camera !

I did let it solidly record for 3 days without issue .

Do you record from an Android phone? Or the camera you use runs on Android?
I had a viofo a119s, but just ordered a Nextbase 512gw. Not sure there is any control in the camera.

App link via camera's WiFi .
Go into a supermarket and camera records in the car park , it's not to be missed this high risk environment .

Can someone please help with this. I tried taking 5a, 10a and 15a fuses on the black row and all of them are still supplying power to the camera after ignition is off.
I did check with a multi meter before installing and the original fuses was showing 0v before the ignition is turned off.

I am answering my own post [emoji4]. Number 9 in the second row did the job.

This is good , please don't tell me you went with ignition off ?I did have to go with ignition off. The cutoff on the nextbase is 11.2V. didn't want to risk battery draining. These days my car just sits on the drive most of the time.

I have a Nextbase dashcam, power supply is only with ignition on.
I decided on this because, apart from it running the battery flat when the engine is not running, I don't see much point in having the camera on when the car is parked, because:
1) If someone broke into the car they'd probably steal or destroy the dashcam
2) If someone ran into the car in a supermarket car park they would probably hit the side of it, so wouldn't be seen by the front mounted camera, or a rear mounted camera if I had one.
3) If someone hit the back of the car I would probably get a nice picture of the side of an unidentifiable car grazing the rear, as it's unlikely anyone would drive or reverse into the rear with enough speed to cause any damage. I don't worry about cars touching bumpers. That's what they're for.

You bought the wrong camera with no parking mode selectable shut down times .
I left mine not to shut down as an experiment , 3 days no issue .

What has your camera recorded/what do you expect it to record, when your car is parked, please?
Do you also have a rear facing camera? If so, was this left on for your experiment?
Also, what is the recording resolution of your camera? Mine is 2560 x 1440 pixels @ 30 fps. This gives continuous smooth movement and I can stop and enlarge individual frames on my 19" PC screen to easily read number plates at around 25 metres.

Supermarket car parks and alike , the number one high risk area is not to be ignored .

Old car has front as I can't fit rear due to privacy shades .
Newer has privacy glass and have two to go in , all 3 1440 P,
25 fps .
It does have a G shock wake up mode but it won't catch the actual incident , that's why it's left recording with no issue to the battery.

What camera(s) do you have then, please?
