Hello, friends car has some serious leaking A/C. Changed high pressure sensor as was leaking around there, new washer and sensor, strangly it had also blown a fuse. Got it regassed and it fired into life for a few weeks. It's failed again so looks like its empty. Going to order some leak detection gear but im fearing its in the cabin evaporator as it smells like gas when driving, has anyone changed one and is it a dash out job? Can see on workshop guide theres a load of bolts under scuttle tray but it doesn't tell you how much of the dash needs to come out. Any previous experience greatly recieved.

Evaporator failure is almost unheard of, thankfully as it would be an immense task although Pre 2010 models did apparently suffer failure and the unit was revised... £1241! On ODIS it says dash out and the book time is circa 11 hours which is a joke, it would be double that.
