Hello everyone has anyone put a after market dpf on a Audi Q7 has the cost of a new one from Audi is £1570 pounds and rather expensive, and buying one from eBay is £200 with 2 years guarantee????
Replies on this would be rather welcome has anyone fitted them and had any problems, because buying one from eBay every 2 years would be more cost effective than buying 1 from Audi.

I fitted a few aftermarket DPF’s in the early days from various manufacturers, all failed and we ended up finding good used units which is a rare example of me using second hand parts.

When getting dpf off 2 of the nuts snapped off, so probs just get another from eBay or a genuine 1

Standard pain when doing jobs like this, it’s one of the reasons why a spanner chaps job is so much trouble but customers don’t give a ****…

I try to do all my work myself as Audi wanted £4600 for dpf and cat replacement and just can’t justify that price tag, if I got the dpf off with out snapping anything I would of cleaned it my self and put it back on and learned how to use Vcds for the other bits needed doing.

I don’t feel you can clean it yourself without the specialist equipment or I would do, we use DPF Clean Team who are excellent people.
