2010 Polo 1.4 auto - anything specific to look out for

As per title, I'm looking at a Polo for my daughter, is there any repeat issue with these I should be looking out for? I think it has the dsg gearbox, are they reliable, it's done circa 90k miles.

Have done vehicle check online, and it failed previous mot with engine check light, before passing on the same date. Should this be a red flag? What should I ask seller to satisfy this has not just been cleared and waiting to time out again? I have vcds, if i get to scan the codes, what should i be looking out for?

Make sure the gearbox oil changes have been done. The VCDS should flag up any faults and will show the mileage and frequency. You can then check them out to see if they are serious.
