Rear lights Q5 2017

Hi - both rear lights on my MY17 s-line Q5 have stopped working this morning: all lights in rear bumper still ok so have turn / fog / reverse : it’s just the units on the tailgate.

All fuses ok - any suggestions before following the dash advice to contact dealer?

Might be the contact in the boot latch? When the car thinks the boot is open it uses the lights in the bumper. Is there anything lodged in there making the car think it's still open?

Thanks - had no idea! Turns out there was a small stone in the lock stopping it shutting 100%: blast of compressed air sorted! All good now
