Seems that the trend is for manufacturers to recommend very high pressures (38 psi) to maximise fuel economy. This seem to make the ride a lot harder and less comfortable.

What tyre pressures are people using? On my previous car a Mazda 6 I ran 32 psi all round on smaller 17 inch wheels and it felt a lot more comfortable. I have been running 36 psi but I am tempted to drop them to 34 or less to see if things improve.

Same tyres I have. They recommend 38psi all round but I wouldn’t advise that. I’ve found way too much road noise and you will find too this will overinflate them. There’s a comfort recommendation of 33psi all round but i noticed my fuel consumption got worse. Try 34 on the fronts and 35 on the backs or just do 35 all round. I’m considering replacing mine with the 17s (215/55/17) from current SEL model. I’m in the car all day and road noise can be an issue with the 18s and also poor road surfaces the 18s aren’t great.

Had it at 35 psi all round for a few months and that seems about the best compromise. Still make sure I steer well clear of any pot holes or recessed drain grates. Better shocks required I think!

Can't beat dual rate dampers , special valving allows for maximum comfort but firms up when pressing on , didn't realise they were stock on the Stuttgart until I looked into
BILSTEIN B4 DampMatic® , I run 40 psi with no loss of comfort .

Koni ACTIVE are also dual rate .
