Visit Workshop?

This is a new one on me. Flashing heater plug light and 'visit workshop' appeared in the message box. Disappeared after about 10 secs., and not reappeared.
Any ideas? fyi, no access to vcds.

Probably a slight egr valve position discrepancy (its well monitored) but a vcds code read is obviously the way to go but there is a chance there is no codes stored from it as I have come across this before and also if a code is stored any ol' OBD reader may pick it up.

Thanks, on 159k now and this would be it's first egr issue. My goto workshop closed a couple of years ago but the owner still has all his gear - if I can pin him down from all the retirement gallivanting then I'll get it read.
