Hi all, just got a 2015 Allroad after many years in the wilderness with other makes away from VAG. Just checked and my last post was in 2008 and amazingly my password still works, I probably need to change my user name as well as I left the military in 2009. Jobs done so far on the Allroad are a complete rewire/refit of the front door speakers as the previous owner had fitted uprated speakers on mdf mounts which leaked and filled the car with water. I am looking to replace but will wait until the wife isn't watching the credit card statements. Car is brilliant 272bhp, factory fit towbar but there are a few issues to iron out around the AMI (not working at all, although will say loading with an old ipod classic but nothing with iphone or usb) and the CD playing not reading disks but car is 51k and full history and only 2 previous owners so hopefully not too many other issues. When the weather gets better I will post some pictures if anyone is interested

I’ve noted on another forum the speaker mounts on the doors are a leak point. Will be worth reading a few posts relating to those issues to make sure you get it spot on.

A lot of people (on a Facebook forum) are replacing their screens for high resolution touch screens, which include an android box that can be used for wire free Apple carplay or Android Auto - prices range from £200-£400 on Ali.

Depending on the factory-fit screen/media system you might just need to do a lot of software updates. If you have the tech pack (bigger screen, colour map in the centre of the dash) you can get that upgraded to do CarPlay/Android Auto. I went to VAG Car Coding - Coding, Diagnostic & Retrofit Services for VAG Vehicles (https://www.vagcarcoding.com/) in London and he brought all the stereo/nav etc. up to date with last software and latest maps and enabled the Audi Smartphone interface which is perfectly usable without a touch screen - and it was very very reasonable. Also did some coding changes for me at the same time so the boot can be opened/closed from the key and the drivers door, and added lap timer, oil temp sensor and a few other things....worth dropping him a line.....
