Exhaust manifold gaskets and egr issues

Hi guys, running with a couple of issues right now on my q7 but the most perplexing is what I believe may be an exhaust leak from the gaskets. I've got a chuffing noise from the engine passenger side bank. I immediately thought injector seals and got them all changed out however I still have the black tar substance falling on top of the manifold and now after debating with a mate who is a mechanic he thinks the exhaust gasket is leaking, however looking at it we don't see how the job can be done without taking the engine out, has anyone ever changed the gaskets and can offer any advice.

Also I've got the tell tale river of coolant down the centre of the V6 and was just looking for some advice as to what people have done when there egr cooler when. My opinion is I'm going to remove the egr and cooler, blank it and remap out is this the common method, do any go about getting it replaced.

did you get to the bottom of this? im about to do my injector seals. did yours occasionally struggle to start or have extra smoke under load?

Didn't struggle to start but did get to the bottom of it. Injectors needed reseated changing the seals did nothing no.6 needed reseated.

The egr issue was sorted via info I found on the club touareg site. Nothing to do with the egr but couple of plastic bits underneath and the egr oil cooler.
