Hi,
Hoping someone can help.
I currently have a strange fault on my 1.4 Golf in which the accelerator pedal will completely stop working, I have to lift my foot completely off the pedal in order for it to start to work again, the fault normally happens every time I drive the car.
The Car isn't throwing up any warning lights when it happens, has anybody else had this issue or have any idea what the problem could be?
Thanks in advance

If it was anything to do with the dual pedal sensors the EPC warning light should come on, failure of the pedal during wet wether is quite common... putting a pair of potentiometers under a wet foot could be seen as a daft idea. You should start with a fault code read.

I scanned it today, and It came back with a Brake Pressure sensor 1 Fault 01435. I also changed my ECS button as it did not work and the light is permanently on guessing this is caused by the Brake Pressure sensor 1 Fault. After doing a bit of research I am starting to think it maybe the Brake Light switch causing the loss of power, so I am going to start by changing that.
Thanks

01435 - Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201): Electrical Fault in Circuit
The G201 pressure sensor is in the ABS pump and changing the pedal switch will not help plus a G201 pressure switch problem will not lead to power loss, it will just bring on the ESP warning light.
