As in title, know it probably been asked quite a few times but need some solid advise&lt

basically one of my head lights has started to (blink occasionally ) and got the (low beam) yellow warning on the dash
this was an intermittent problem, both the light and the warning, but having had the battery off and used the opportunity to
fully charge the battery, the warning light is now on constant on start up, so obviously a stored code

ive read it can be a few things so want to work my way through the basics first, by changing both the head light bulbs
so want advise on what to get, its a DS1 6000k im needing right?

ideally something a little brighter than OE but not blue

second the best place to get them, i know they can get expensive so a set off ebay worth getting/trying?
or have i got to stump up for something more expensive

also any thought on the other bulbs to change while the bumpers off

any advise help or links would be great full

It could be the bulb or the ballast.
If you swop your bulbs over and the faults stays in the same headlight its the ballast. Bulbs are best replaced in pairs.

that`s my thoughts from what ive read, so im looking on replacing both the bulbs first when the bumpers off

if the problems not solved, ill then be looking at the ballast packs, but first need some advise on what bulbs to get, before spending out

It is a D2S, VAG number N 104 457 01 which are £146.28 genuine which personally I feel is daft. I would use the Phillips 85122XV2S1 Xenon X-TremeVision Gen2 as I have a bit of a thing for the companies products (just fitted two domestic LED units in the hall and stairs) but I would worry about dazzling other drivers although that is pretty much every modern car now, I think I need to wear sunglasses whilst driving at night...
