I have a 2012 Audi A6 S line and I need to get the SD card for the sat nav. I have asked a few dealers and its quite pricey. My question is isit possible to personally overcome this as in, buy an SD card myself and download the maps from somewhere online maybe and set it up that way? Also, what would the maximum capacity for an SD card be for the vehicle? I have a 128GB SD card, would that work? I appreciate any help. Thanks

What you are proposing does not work, many have tried without success. The issue is that the new maps need to paired with the car and officially that requires a link to the factory which only the dealer can do. However there are some sellers on the internet who do sell working versions for much less than the dealer and sidestep the pairing process. Best tot search this forum and others to find reliable sellers
