New Audi A6 s-Line 2014 2.0 TDI Ultra Owner!!

Hi,

I am purchasing my first Audi A6 S-Line 2014 2.0 TDI Ultra on Sunday.

I wanted to ask as this is being bought from a garage rather than private. This car has apparently the Tech pack, which also includes Reverse Cam, Park Assist, Lane assist along with usual extras. Also it has a SIM slot in the middle of SD card slots. Wanted to ask will having the SIM slot mean if I get a the data sim then my car will act as a WIFI hotspot or is this feature dependant on other things as well. I also read this will make my Sat Nav Google Earth version which im excited about. Sad I know!

I have the tech pack. I buy a 48 month 3 data sim, with 36gb. This lets me hotspot in the car, loads up the google earth overlay. And let’s me use Audi connect. You can do much with connect. Only send addresses to ur nav from ur phone. And in ur car u can check fuel prices and weather. 1 thing to remember with the google earth, is it not google maps. So I believe if ur nav does not have the latest maps downloaded, you may have some newer road missing. Hope that helps.

The Sim card slot can provide WiFi hotspot, nav data, and mobile phone call/receive services to the car.

Alternatively the. Sim card can add WiFi and data only, and a separate mobile can be added via Bluetooth.

I suggest that you go an Audi service department and get a print-out of the option fitted to your car (need Reg or VIN number). It is too easy to be disappointed if features are missing.

Do you have the Tech Pack (WB4) or the Tech Pack Advanced (WB7)? Do you have Parking Pack (WC9) or Parking Pack Advanced (WF5)?

Ok cheers guys. Im new to Audi generally so all this is new with MyAudi etc but i seen videos about it and will definitly be setting it up from Sunday.

So your saying with my Audi once iv put the vin it will tell me exact spec of the car? What are the diferences between the different normal and advanced packs?

Best thing to do is google the brochure pdf. It’ll tell you about the differences

Thank you for the assistance guys. Have the car as if Sunday and its amazing. Chuffed as its 2014 1 owner from new! Can anybody answer this. Only the instrument cluster there is a drive assist function which has a speed mark but is blank. What is this for and how to you activate it. Struggling to actually find a manual that guides step by step on all the features.
Iv decided the data sim i need is not for me as i don't want to fork out extra a month.

Hi. Thanx i already have this downloaded, however this bit on the instrument cluster is not in the manual. Bizarre!

Okay, i think iv finally figured it out. It just seems to be a way of keeping the cruise control speed on the screen without it dissapearing when you just set it up. As when you set the speed on the stalk the green icon comes up etc, but the speed dissapears whereas it just stays in the screen by going intonthe drive assist menu within the instrument cluster.
