View Full Version : OBD2 fault codes but no warning light

Hi, I'm new to the forum and apologise if this is in the wrong section:

I recently scanned my car (Audi A3 2017) with an OBD2 scanner. It produced 3 error codes:
P332500 - Power supply terminal 15, Implausible;
P157000 - Engine Control Module (ECM) disabled;
P334B00 - Charge pressure actuator, mechanical malfunction.

I wondered if these were significant? I should mention that there has been NO warning lights appear at all in the few months I have owned the car (3 years old). Could these codes be stored in the computer from a previous, resolved issue? Or are they simply not significant enough to prompt a warning light? Had I not scanned that car I would have been completely unaware of anything. The car drives fine with absolutely no noticeable issues.
Many thanks,
Ian

The standard thing to do when you scan a car for which you don't know the history is:

Scan for faults [just to see what's there]
Clear all the faults [temporary faults or cleared faults will disappear]
Scan for faults again [to see what's faulty now]

Julian

By the way; many ECU 'faults' don't set any lights

Hi Julian,

Thanks for your response, much appreciated.
I cleared the faults at the time and they haven't returned.
