Good day all
I am new to this forum. I reside in South Africa. I have an Audi 100S Coupe. 1974 Model. The car is in original condition. I want to know what's the best oil to use. A semi synthetic or synthetic Oil. Engine etc are all original. There are so many different suggestions wrt oils. I figure it best coming from someone that owns this vehicle.
Your inputs would be appreciated.

One of my favourite cars of all time, unfortunately the climate here destroyed them. I remember hearing about VW SA losing their museum example in a transporter accident. I would just use a simple 15/40 mineral oil in it although basic oils like that can be hard to buy, try a local motor traders supplier and they may do a simple mineral oil in 25 litre barrels.

Thanks. Yeah VW SA lost theirs and were trying to buy this car at the same time When I purchased it form the previous owner. I had it for around 10 or so years now. My Dad had a yellow one with a brown hard top when I was a Kid in the late 70s. And I had been searching for a good niche one for a while.371253712537125371253712537125
